‘I’m disappointed in her dressing”: Delta media aide Ossai Ovie criticises Chioma’s Grammy red carpet outfit

Delta State media aide, Ossai Ovie, has taken to social media to criticise Chioma Adeleke, wife of singer Davido, over her outfit at the 2026 Grammy Awards red carpet.

The 2026 Grammy Awards was held on February 1, 2026, at the Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles, California, United States. Davido, who was nominated in the Best African Music Performance category, attended the event alongside his wife, Chioma Adeleke.

The singer was also accompanied by members of his team and family, including his elder sister, Sharon Adeleke, and close associate Lati DMW, among others.

Chioma’s red carpet outfit sparked mixed reactions on social media, with some users praising her look while others expressed displeasure.

Reacting to the outfit, Ossai Ovie publicly criticised Chioma, stating that he was disappointed in her appearance. He claimed that her dressing was inappropriate for the event and argued that it did not represent African culture.

He further expressed disappointment in Davido, stating that he should have influenced her outfit choice before the event.

He wrote, “I am disappointed in Chioma Davido’s dressing: She shouldn’t have been half n*ked to Grammy

She didn’t represent Nigerian culture well, embracing a half n*ked revealing Western style instead.

As a role model to many Nigerian young ladies, her dressing internationally will negatively influence them.

I also expected Davido to guide her better.

Cultural representation matters, and it’s crucial.

I am disappointed in Davido for allowing her to dress this way .

I am really disappointed.”
