In a historic gathering today at the APC LGA Secretariat, Igbara-Oke, the APC Apex Leaders of Ifedore Local Government, converged for a crucial meeting organized by Hon. (Barr.) Temitope Komolafe (BTK), Member representing Ifedore State Constituency in the Ondo State House of Assembly. The meeting was convened on behalf of His Excellency, Hon. Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa, the Executive Governor of Ondo State.
The central agenda was clear and compelling: to seek the unwavering support of the Ifedore APC leadership for the second-term ambition of His Excellency, Sen. Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR, come 2027. Amidst deliberations, the leaders seized the opportunity to appreciate Governor Aiyedatiwa for his infrastructural interventions, particularly the approval of a 5-kilometer road project for Ifedore LGA. As a mark of his goodwill, the sum of ₦2 million was graciously presented to the leaders at the close of the meeting by him.
In the course of the meeting, Hon. (Barr.) Temitope Komolafe (BTK) delivered a stirring presentation of his scorecard, which has distinguished him as a lawmaker of action, vision, and unmatched integrity. Since his inauguration, his leadership has translated into life-changing initiatives across the length and breadth of Ifedore. Notable among his achievements are:
1. Empowerment of Tailors/Fashion Designers: Distribution of 20 industrial sewing machines, each worth ₦1 million.
2. Support for Small Businesses: 100 grants of ₦50,000 each for small-scale entrepreneurs in Ifedore.
3. ICT Advancement: Donation of 20 laptops to youths, each valued at ₦500,000.
4. Educational Scholarships: Comprehensive university scholarships for 3 Ifedore sons, covering tuition, accommodation, and feeding—costing about ₦3 million per student.
5. Rural Electrification: Installation of 50 industrial solar-powered streetlights across towns and villages.
6. Technology Support: Provision of 20 packs of computer repair kits powered by SMEDAN.
7. Employment Creation: Securing over 10 jobs for Ifedore indigenes in State and Federal establishments.
8. Water Supply Intervention: Repair of all abandoned boreholes in Ifedore at ₦2.5 million.
9. Traditional Institution Support: Hosting of Ifedore Obas on behalf of the party at ₦2 million.
10. Religious Harmony: Support for the Muslim community in Ifedore to the tune of ₦1.8 million.
11. Party Member Welfare: Continuous financial and moral support during festivities and times of need.
12. APC Leadership Engagement: Regular meetings with party leaders and stakeholders, costing over ₦5 million within two years.
This sterling scorecard drew a resounding vote of confidence on the lawmaker, moved by Senior High Chief (Barr.) Hon. Banji Abuloye, a respected leader and Special Assistant to the Governor, and seconded by both Hon. Idowu Adebusiyi, Commissioner 1 at the Ondo State House Assembly Commission, and Dr. Wole Ekundayo, former Registrar at UNIMED.
