I went to United kingdom in the 2004 on an invitation visa, before then, myself and Bunmi Akinnanu were church members at ECWA and l have been speaking to her for us to go into relationship, thou she didn’t accept, but when l got into United kingdom, l called her one day and she was surprised to here that l was in United kingdom already. So we started talking properly and l asked her if she was interested in we going into a relationship, she told me she was interested in me and immediately l called my own family to go and meet her family at Mushin for introduction and ,though l wasn’t on ground, my family took my picture and her family sat down, we did the introduction that was 2004,
I came back to Nigeria and We had our court Wedding in December 2006 at surulere magistrate court.
l had just 3months left on my visa, so immediately l got back to Nigeria l quickly put in for another Application to enable me go back to United kingdom the moment l was done with my Marriage, unfortunately, U.k refused renewing my Visa not until tha 3 months vias expired.
I got stranded in Nigeria, that was the genesis of our marital issues, Bunmi wasn’t happy that l couldn’t go back to United kingdom infact despite we were legally married then, she refused staying with me at home, l had to go search for a job aswell in Nigeria bcos l couldn’t get my Visa renewed.
Shortly after our Marriage, we only had little arguement at home and the next thing l saw was Bunmi Akinnanu slapped myself, l was shocked because l have never beaten any woman before, l went to their family house and l met her father, her father Apologise and pleaded ,he even Comfirmed that he knew Bunmi can do such. So l allowed that to slide, we continue with our Marriage.
