I Warned Nigerians Before and During the 2023 Presidential Election — You Are Voting a Killer System into Power — Bishop David Oyedepo

In a fiery and thought-provoking message, the founder of Living Faith Church Worldwide (Winners Chapel), Bishop David Oyedepo, has once again revisited his warning to Nigerians about the dangers of voting without discernment during the 2023 presidential election.
Speaking to his congregation, Bishop Oyedepo lamented that Nigerians are now witnessing the consequences of their choices, emphasizing that he had earlier cautioned the nation against empowering a system that thrives on oppression, corruption, and bloodshed.
The cleric stressed that leadership should be about compassion, integrity, and service to humanity, not about enriching a few at the expense of the masses. He said the suffering currently experienced by Nigerians is not coincidental but a direct result of poor governance and the failure of the electorate to listen to the voice of truth.
Bishop Oyedepo, who has never hidden his criticism of bad leadership, urged Nigerians to turn back to God and seek divine wisdom in choosing leaders in the future. He emphasized that spiritual sensitivity must guide political participation, not tribalism or material gain.
He also warned that Nigerians must never again sell their votes for crumbs or sentiments, noting that the destiny of the nation is too precious to be traded for temporary satisfaction. He called on citizens to wake up and take responsibility for their future.
The revered preacher concluded with a message of hope, urging Nigerians not to despair but to use this season as a moment of reflection and national repentance. He expressed optimism that there is still hope for Nigeria if the people turn to God and demand righteousness in leadership.

Bishop Oyedepo’s message has reignited discussions across social media, with many Nigerians acknowledging the painful truth in his statement as the country continues to grapple with economic hardship, inflation, and widespread insecurity.
