I Sincerely Commend Him’ – Deji Adeyanju Calls For Support Of Nyesom Wike

Human rights activist and lawyer Deji Adeyanju has called on Nigerians to recognize and support the efforts of the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike, in advancing the ongoing construction of the Apo–Karshi Road in Abuja.

The Apo–Karshi Road, a key transport corridor linking parts of the FCT with Nasarawa State, is expected to reduce traffic congestion and enhance accessibility for commuters once completed. Adeyanju highlighted the historical challenges associated with the project and praised Wike’s commitment to ensuring its progress.

In a statement on Wednesday, the activist, known for his outspoken critiques of Wike during his tenure as Rivers State governor, expressed admiration for the current pace and quality of work. “Even as a consistent critic of Nyesom Wike, I must sincerely commend him for the remarkable speed and level of work currently ongoing on the Apo–Karshi Road,” he said.

Adeyanju further noted that the road had experienced years of stalled construction with minimal progress, emphasizing that the recent developments were both noticeable and deserving of public acknowledgment. “That road has been under construction for years with little progress, and the pace of work now is both visible and commendable. Credit should be given where it is due,” he added.
