A woman who identified herself as a member of the Lord’s Chosen Charismatic Revival Movement has shared a dramatic testimony recounting a frightening encounter with suspected armed Fulani herdsmen while travelling to Owerri.
According to her account, the incident occurred during a road journey when their commercial bus was suddenly intercepted by about 15 armed men along the highway. She claimed the assailants surrounded the vehicle, creating panic among passengers. In the confusion that followed, the driver allegedly abandoned the bus and fled for his safety, leaving the passengers stranded and terrified.
The woman said that while others were overwhelmed by fear, she found the courage to confront the armed men. In her words, she boldly shouted, “I am a Chosen, who are you?”—a declaration she said immediately changed the situation. She testified that upon hearing her words, the armed men reportedly became confused and suddenly fled in different directions.
In a further twist to the story, she claimed that she managed to grab one of the fleeing men along with his gun before he escaped. She attributed her survival and the outcome of the encounter to divine intervention, stressing that it was not by her own strength but by faith and God’s protection.
