How Wike Has Outplayed President Tinubu, The Master Strategist–Rufai Oseni

Arise Tv analyst and social commentator, Rufai Oseni has made a subtle dig at president Bola Ahmed Tinubu, stating that he has been outplayed by minister of the federal capital territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike on Rivers state political matter.

Rufai oseni made the remark through his X(Twitter) handle, stating that president Bola Ahmed Tinubu who claims to be a master strategist has seemingly been outplayed by a minister in his cabinet, Nyesom Wike whose political interest in Rivers state has subjected the state to endless conflict, hampering governance in the state.

Rufai oseni explained that if Nyesom Wike is capable of maintaining his position as FCT minister in president Tinubu’s cabinet while instigating crisis in Rivers state by ordering the 26 members of the Rivers state House of Assembly loyal to him to initiate an impeachment proceeding against governor Sim Fubara, a member of the president Tinubu’s ruling All Progressive Congress (APC) while the president remains reticent, unwilling to take any drastic action to protect the Rivers state governor who is a member of his political party amounts to the president being outplayed by his minister, Nyesom Wike.
Rufai Oseni added that Nyesom Wike appears to be the master strategist in this context and not president Tinubu.

“If they call President Tinubu the master strategist, I must say Wike is currently outplaying the master strategist!

Will the president be able to protect APC governors!

Anyway if an impeachment notice has gone this far, instigated by lawmakers loyal to a serving minister in Pres Tinubu’s cabinet.

Then Wike has outplayed president Tinubu, for now! Will the Jagaban strike back?” He stated.

While the Rivers state political crisis lingers, president Tinubu is understandably caught between the responsibility of protecting the interest of his party man at the expense of that of his strong political ally, former governor Nyesom Wike.

Political solution had been initiated by the presidency and brokered between the two parties; however, recent development in the state suggest that the peace deal has failed while the two parties have resorted to confrontation and conspiracy to undo each other.
