Gunmen strike again in ondo , kidnap Pregnant Woman, Spare Nonagenarians.

Unknown Gunmen have reportedly kidnapped a pregnant woman at Ayede Community in Akure North Local Government Area of Ondo State.

It was learnt that the incident occurred on Tuesday night in the community.

An eyewitness said “A kidnap case occurred yesterday around 7:40pm at Ayede Community near Alagbaka Extension Akure where one Mrs Mary Jesulayomi (pregnant woman) was captured and taken away.

“Mrs Ogunleye Mese, an 85 yr old woman was also kidnapped but was later released, while her husband, a 90yr old baba, Pa Ogunleye Mese suffered injury in the process”.

When contacted, the spokesperson for the Police Command in the state, DSP Abayomi Jimoh, confirmed the abduction of the pregnant woman on Wednesday in Akure.

Jimoh said that the command had deployed operatives to the community to rescue the victim unhurt.

“Upon receipt of the report, the command has deployed tactical teams to the scene.

“Efforts are ongoing towards rescuing the victim and arrest the perpetrators of the crime,” the PPRO disclosed.

It would be recalled that only few days ago, a school Proprietoress was kidnapped and three others injured at Ilu-Abo in the same Akure North Local government area.
