Governor Siminalayi Fubara makes first public appearance after impeachment moves

Governor Siminalayi Fubara has made his first public appearance following the controversial and widely condemned impeachment moves by the Rivers State House of Assembly led by Rt. Hon. Martin Amaewhule.

The Governor was at St. Cyprian’s Anglican Church, Port Harcourt, to participate in an Inter-Denominational Church Service held in commemoration of the 2026 Armed Forces Celebration and Remembrance Day.

It was a solemn national event dedicated to honouring the sacrifices of Nigeria’s military personnel.

Members of the state legislature were absent.
