Governor Relaxes Curfew, Urges Public To Resume Lawful Activities, Avoid Violence

The Borno State government has announced a temporary relaxation of its curfew, allowing movement on Friday from 12 pm to 3 pm.

Starting from 6 am on Saturday, residents are encouraged to go about their lawful business.

In a statement signed by ASP Nahum Kenneth Daso, Public Relations Officer of the Borno state police command, the government emphasises the importance of peace and order, urging citizens to cooperate with security agencies.

“Members of the public should shun all forms of violence.

“We appeal to everyone to maintain calm and support efforts to ensure safety and stability,” the statement added.

 

 

 

SaharaReporters earlier reported that the Borno State government imposed a 24-hour curfew across the state, effective immediately, amidst the ongoing #EndBadGovernanceInNigeria protests.

 

The curfew, aimed at preventing the protests from spreading in the state, was announced on Thursday by ASP Nahum Kenneth Daso, Public Relations Officer of the state police command.
