Government provide Christmas food basket for 1000 vulnerable 

Yobe State Governor, Mai Mala Buni, has approved the distribution of End-of-Year Seasonal Food Baskets to 1,000 vulnerable families in the state. The initiative aims to ease hardship and ensure everyone can enjoy the Christmas celebrations.

Dr. Mohammed Goje, Executive Secretary of the Yobe State Emergency Management Agency (SEMA), said the programme targets orphans, widows, people with disabilities, the elderly, low-income households, and internally displaced persons (IDPs).

He explained that the state-wide initiative is designed to give disadvantaged families a sense of dignity and inclusion during the festive season.

Community and religious leaders will take part in distributing the food baskets to ensure fairness, transparency, and accountability, in line with good governance principles.
