Fulani Group Urges New Defence Minister to Prioritize Peaceful Solutions to Insecurity
DAMATURU — The Kulen Allah Cattle Rearers Association of Nigeria (KACRAN), a prominent Fulani socio-cultural organisation, has appealed to the newly appointed Minister of Defence, General Christopher Musa (rtd), to champion peaceful and non-violent strategies in tackling the nation’s security challenges.
In a statement issued on Thursday, the group’s National President, Khalil Mohammed Bello, urged the minister to draw from his extensive military expertise — not only in combat operations but also in peacebuilding — to restore confidence, stability, and national unity ahead of October 2026.
Bello emphasized that safeguarding the country is a collective duty, calling on security agencies, traditional institutions, political leaders, and citizens to work in synergy with the Defence Ministry.
He noted that KACRAN remains fully committed to supporting every initiative aimed at promoting peaceful coexistence and strengthening trust among communities nationwide.
