Federal civil service announces dates for 2026 directorate level promotion exam
The Federal Civil Service Commission (FCSC) has fixed September 21 to 23, 2026, for the conduct of the 2026 Directorate Level Promotion Examination (Local Leg) for eligible officers across the Federal Civil Service.
The examination, according to a press release, Friday, by Head, Press and Public Relations, Ibraheem Zakariyya, for the Commission, will commence at 7:00 a.m. each day, a circular, with Ref. No. FC.6243/GOV/2026/VOL.II/27, dated September 17, 2026, and signed by the Chairman of the Commission, Prof. Tunji Olaopa, said.
The Commission said the examination would cover all Grade Levels, with candidates expected to report at the designated Computer-Based Test (CBT) centres indicated on their examination IDs.
It urged all accredited candidates to take note of the examination dates, commencement time and designated venues, and make adequate arrangements to participate in the exercise as scheduled.
The FCSC also directed Permanent Secretaries, Accounting Officers and Chief Executive Officers of Ministries, Departments and Agencies (MDAs) to bring the contents of the circular to the attention of all concerned for compliance.
