Oba Adejugbe from Aladesanmi royal dynasty, is one of the 16 most prominent Obas in Ekiti history.

He is currently at the forefront of a legal battle against Governor Kayode Fayemi over the appointment of Alawe of Ilawe, Oba Ajibade Alabi as the Chairman of the traditional Council.

The contention about the appointment had been that Alawe was unfit to be so appointed having not regarded as Alademerindinlogun/Pelupelu Oba recognised by the State’s Chieftaincy Law.

But Oba Adejugbe in a video clip circulated on social media platforms on Tuesday denied the rumour.

The monarch urged the members of the public to discountenance the rumour, saying it has no scintilla of veracity on the premise that he is in good and sound health condition.

The monarch in the video prayed for a quick recovery for Nigeria and the global community from the debilitating Covid-19 pandemic.
