Fayose Mocks Oyo Court Order On PDP Convention, Calls It ‘Awada Kerikeri’

Former Ekiti State Governor Ayodele Fayose has dismissed the order reportedly issued by an Oyo State High Court on the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) National Convention, describing it as “an Ibadan judicial and political awada kerikeri.”

Fayose called the order “dead on arrival,” arguing that a state high court lacks authority to overrule a Federal High Court decision.

He urged the National Judicial Council (NJC) to sanction Justice A.L. Akintola, who issued the order despite an earlier ruling by Justice James Omotosho of the Federal High Court on the same matter.

He accused certain party figures of desperation and attempting to destroy the PDP, adding that the party is now “in intensive care” under its acting chairman, Mohammed Abdulrahman, and needs time to recover from internal crises.
