Fadairo Bags ‘Aaré Amúlùdún of Iju’ Chieftaincy Title in Grand Royal Celebration
It was a moment of culture, honour, and celebration in Iju Land as Hon. Oluwafemi Dennis Fadairo,the senior special Assistant on community engagement, Central to the Governor of ondo state, was conferred with the prestigious chieftaincy title of Aaré Amúlùdún of Iju.
The colourful ceremony was performed by the Okiti of Iju Land, Oba Amos Adelakun Farukanmi (JP), during a double celebration marking the monarch’s 82nd birthday and 38th coronation anniversary.
The historic event drew dignitaries, community leaders, and well-wishers who gathered to celebrate both the revered monarch and the latest honour bestowed on Fadairo.
The title “Aaré Amúlùdún” carries deep cultural meaning. Derived from Yoruba roots, Amúlùdún literally translates to “one who makes the town sweet” a person who brings joy, harmony, and positive influence to the community.
The honour reflects Fadairo’s reputation for his warm personality, cultural advocacy, and consistent efforts in community development.
As the Senior Special Assistant to the Governor on Community Engagement (Central), Fadairo has been widely recognized for building bridges among people, supporting grassroots initiatives, and promoting unity across diverse groups. His new traditional title symbolises the impact of his work and the affection he has earned within Iju Land.
Speaking at the event, community members described the honour as well-deserved, noting that Fadairo’s contributions have touched lives and strengthened communal ties.
The royal recognition now formally places him among respected cultural title holders entrusted with upholding the values and progress of the land.
