Exposing Hypocrisy of Acclaimed APC Uk on Recent ondo political crises – Olasumbo Faseesin Esq
In a swift reaction, I read with dismay the faceless APC UK acknowledging the recent development in Ondo State, and further encouraging the Ag Deputy Governor to put all that it requires in the wheel of state’s progress. Unfortunately, the concluding paragraph suggests to me a set of people desperately searching political opportunities arising from the recent development in Ondo state.
Recall that I had sometimes challenged the legitimacy of the APC UK, and had further, in my passionate drive for humanity caution excesses and display of nonchalance in the manner it seeks to protect wholesome act of MALFEASANCE, irregularities, aberrations and a host of potential criminal exercise all in a bid to join the government, whether at the Federal or, State level.
The recent publication or, perhaps article only presupposes a ploy waiting in the corners to be hatched. It lay credence to my arguments against the non existent and unknown image of a purported group with only one mission to fleece or, potentially benefit from the rotten system ongoing in Nigeria. How could a supposedly exposed people, claiming to exist as a group be quick in making themselves available to serve with the embattled Deputy Governor, Aiyedatiwa who most recently saw the light after the intervention of Mr. President, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu. Much after the impasse, and the subsequent intervention of Mr. President, Bola Ahmed Tinubu to finally encourage peaceful coexistence of members of APC in Ondo state. It leaves much to be desired reading a non existent APC UK or, better put, acclaimed APC UK, Ondo State Chapter, hailing, albeit, recklessly, and with no iota of sensitivity to the current situation in Ondo state, and even making offers to serve in the government through Mr. Aiyedatiwa who until now is the Ag Governor of Ondo state.
The questions arising out of these needless desperation are numerous, but I will narrow it down to only two: Where are these group of APC-UK members the last five years during the significant leadership of Arakunrin Oluwarotimi Akeredolu Aketi,SAN. May I also caution these faceless groups seeking privileges around the corridors of power to be mindful, careful and sensitive in the manner they conduct their affairs. Ondo state is not a pot of soup for any diaspora element who only seek imperatives around the corridor. We have capable hands back home who can fix the state, and no vacuum currently exists upon which the acclaimed APC UK might be waiting to clinch. One would rather expect the APC UK to encourage unity and suggests material benefits, and ideas in times like this if they ever exist. One would also expect the supposed APC UK to transfer acquired skills and competence in an advisory capacity or, suggesting inputs that would further strengthen democracy, and encourage unity in diversity embedded in humanity.
Unfortunately, the desperate reasons for the non existent APC UK has always been the hunting exercise. Looking beyond understanding the purpose of governance, the APC UK through another means have continued to perpetuate a worrisome situation begging for answers. Like how would supposedly informed individuals who are beneficiaries of western opportunities and privileges still insist on the damning consequences of failed leadership. For instance, the United Kingdom without notice expects any MP deficient in character to resign or, whose credibility is IMPUGNED to stay away from the corridor of power. They are alleged of impropriety and would not serve the best examples in strengthening policies and institution. No reasonable person is expected to incentivise bad character if we ever gonna seek the change we deserve and desire.
While respecting the current situation of Ondo state, and praying Arakunrin’s ernest recovery, we shall not allow any individual or group of persons under covers or, unknown images latch out or pretend subterfuge to orchestrate insensitive comments, behaviour and reckless commentaries.
The Ag Governor is hereby advised to distance himself from these hangers-on pretending to be friends while sounding insensitive to the Governor who currently is recuperating.
Consequently, they may continue to wish for service under the Ag Governor, Mr. Aiyedatiwa but not throwing caution to the wind in their reckless chase for opportunities arising from these temporary setbacks.
The people of Ondo state within jurisdiction have got competence, capacity and intellectual proficiency to sustain leadership at all levels, and hiring service or, services from the UK-APC might not be necessary. We employ the UK APC even though citizens of Nigeria and indigenes of Ondo state to demonstrate exceptional competence and be meticulous in their intervention in state’s matters. They must be found proven in records of propriety and be diligent in expressing opinions towards changing Nigeria for good not pecuniary purposes, gains and interests.
The RENEWED hope mantra must significantly compel our unanimous commitment to salvage Ondo state and Nigeria as a whole. Of course, where else, if home is sweet.
