Exceptional 12-Year-Old Girl Scores 100% in National Maths Exam, Wins ₦2 Million
Nigeria is celebrating a young genius!
12-year-old Nadia Adeola Akin-Tijani has earned national recognition after scoring a perfect 100% at the African Mathematics Olympiad. Her outstanding performance earned her a ₦2 million cash prize, a Gold Medal, and widespread acclaim as one of Nigeria’s brightest young mathematics talents.
A student of Barrakah College, Ibadan, Nadia competed against top students from across the country and achieved a flawless score. Her success reflects dedication, discipline, and strong family support. Her father’s commitment to prioritizing education—especially mathematics—has clearly paid off.
In an impressive family achievement, her elder sister, Nurahday, also scored 100% in the Junior Secondary category, breaking a five-year record.
Beyond mathematics, Nadia is already thinking about solving societal problems. She proposed the idea of a “Corruption Detector” device aimed at identifying criminal activities and reducing corruption.
The National Mathematics Festival celebrated her as a proud ambassador of mathematical excellence.
Young minds like Nadia’s remind us that Nigeria’s future is bright.
