Ex-CDS General Musa was removed by Tinubu because he dealt with terrorists – Rev. Dachomo alleges

Plateau State-born clergyman, Rev. Ezekiel Dachomo, has alleged that the former Chief of Defence Staff, CDS, General Christopher Musa, was removed by the Nigerian government because he was able to deal with terrorists and insurgents decisively.

Recall that President Tinubu recently made a shake-up in the military structure, displacing Gen. Musa and others, a move he said was aimed at strengthening the security of Nigeria.

However, the clergyman insisted that the military chief was removed because he went against the establishment by going after terrorists in their enclaves.

Rev. Dachomo made the allegations in a viral video shared by conflict journalist Masara Kim Usman on Thursday.

He argued that Musa was dismissed because he had dealt with the insurgents more than any other CDS in the past, including his predecessor, Gen. Tukur Buratai, who was accused of protecting the terrorists.

He said, “Let me tell you why the Chief of Defence Staff, General Christopher Musa was removed. Christopher Musa was removed because he dealt with the insurgents more than any other CDS, more than Buratai. Buratai was pretending.”

“We had mass deaths of Christians in the Nigerian Army and the Air Force that were killed by the terrorists. It was planned by Islamic officers. “We know… Now Christopher is gone because you were shouting we don’t want Christopher because we don’t want him to touch the insurgents that were brought from different countries,” the cleric added.

“Now you have succeeded, Christopher has been removed. We will see how Muslims will be killing Muslims in the North. We are Christians, we will never kill, we will never cause problems for you. We will continue to love you, we will continue to like you,” Rev. Dachomo said.

Since President Tinubu’s changes in the military hierarchy, there have been insinuations from different quarters. Some linked the removal to the alleged military coup, while others argued that it is normal for the service chiefs to be replaced after two years.
