DSS Bows to Pressure, Allows Nnamdi Kanu To Submit Court Processes As IPOB Leader Arrives Court

The Department of State Services (DSS) has finally succumbed to pressure, allowing detained IPOB leader, Mazi Nnamdi Kanu, to submit his legal processes ahead of today’s crucial court sitting.

Kanu’s younger brother, Prince Emmanuel Kanu, confirmed the development early Friday, saying the decision came after mounting public outcry over the DSS’s earlier refusal to grant him access to file his defence documents.

“Yes, the DSS has agreed that Mazi Nnamdi Kanu can now submit his court processes,” Prince Kanu said.

The IPOB leader has since arrived at the Federal High Court, Abuja, where Justice James Omotosho is expected to preside over the continuation of his trial.

Today’s session is considered pivotal, following the court’s earlier warning that Kanu must open his defence or risk forfeiting his right to do so.
