A viral video has ignited fresh controversy in Edo State after an unidentified woman openly confronted a House of Representatives member, Billy Osawaru, accusing him of betrayal and failure to repay money she allegedly invested in his election.

Osawaru, who represents Orhionmwon/Uhunmwode Federal Constituency, was captured in a tense standoff with the woman, who claimed she made personal sacrifices, including selling her gold and taking loans, to support his political ambition.

“He is using MOPOL to do the wrong job. Look at him. Look at a betrayer. Pay me my money. I sold my gold to do election for you. I borrowed money for you to do election. You’re a betrayer,” she shouted.

Witnesses said the presence of Mobile Police officers at the scene heightened the tension, drawing public attention as the confrontation escalated.
