U.S. Representative Riley Moore has issued a stern warning to Nigerian President Bola Tinubu, urging swift action to end the ongoing killings of Christians in Nigeria.
In a statement shared on X, Moore echoed U.S. President Donald Trump’s recent remarks, cautioning that America would no longer ignore attacks on Christians in the country.
“President Trump has provided forewarning — if you do not correct the current state of inaction to stop the killing of our brothers and sisters in Christ, the days of the U.S. looking the other way are over. It will never happen on @POTUS’ watch,” Moore wrote.
He further emphasized the need for peace and accountability, adding: “We want your people to live in peace, all of them — especially Christians. The President has been clear. I would not test his resolve. Many have tried and all have failed.”
In a final declaration, Moore stated, “We will not allow the gates of hell to prevail against the faithful.”
His warning comes shortly after President Donald Trump threatened to suspend U.S. aid and consider military options if Nigeria fails to address the persecution of Christians.
Meanwhile, Nigerian authorities have rejected the allegations, maintaining that the government protects the rights and freedoms of all citizens regardless of religion.
