Council Chairman Accused Of Unleashing Thugs On #EndBadGovernance Protest Leader In Delta, Police Investigate

The protesters accused the chairman of the local government area of leading the thugs “to disrupt the protest” and harassing protesters.
One of voices in the background said, “This is how a protester was beaten up for protesting for his own right.”
“He is our Honourable, see what Uvwie youths did to our Honourable, they wanted to kill us,” the voice added.
However, the incident was confirmed by the spokesman for the Delta State Police Command, SP Bright Edafe to SaharaReporters on Friday.
He, however, noted that the incident occurred on Thursday.
“It’s confirmed that the incident happened yesterday, there was a clash between protesters and anti-protesters. But that a local government chairman led the group is not true,” Edafe said.
