Chief Olufemi Omosanya, Commissioner representing Ondo State at the Federal Character Commission Abuja, warmly welcomed the Olowo of Owo, Oba Gbadegesin Ogunoye, who was on a working visit from Australia and the USA, and also congratulated the monarch on his appointment as Chairman Ondo state Council of Oba’s.
The welcome and Congratulatory message was contained in a statement released to our heritage reporter online on Wednesday evening, describing the working visit as the best mode to foaster development through Owo indigenes in diaspora.
According to him, The working visit is a courtesy call that provided an opportunity for both leaders to discuss matters of mutual interest and strengthen relationship with Owo indigenes in abroad,Part of which discussed ways to promote the development of Owo Kingdom and Ondo State, leveraging their positions to foster growth and progress.
Chief Omosanya described the appointment of Oba Ajibade Gbadegesin Ogunoye III as Chairman of the Ondo State as a significant milestone.
According to him, as the Olowo of Owo, Oba Ogunoye brings leadership experience and dedication to traditional institutions, Oba Ogunoye’s appointment as chairman council of Oba’s reflects his exceptional leadership qualities and commitment to the welfare of his people.
The Council of Obas plays a vital role in promoting peace, development, and cultural preservation in Ondo State.
Hence this is well deserved,chief Omosanya said while reflecting on Oba Ogunoye appointment, his leadership qualities and dedication to traditional institutions makes the new appointment Beffiting.
As Chairman, Oba Ogunoye is expected to lead the Council in fostering a productive relationship with the government and promoting the welfare of traditional rulers which I am optimistic of, that he will.
With Oba Ogunoye at the helm, the Council of Obas is poised to make significant contributions to Ondo State’s development.
