Brighton Fan Dies After Falling Ill During Fulham Match

A somber shadow was cast over the Premier League’s opening weekend as a 72-year-old Brighton & Hove Albion supporter sadly passed away after falling ill during the club’s match against Fulham on Saturday.

The incident occurred during the second half of the game at Craven Cottage, Fulham’s home ground. According to official reports, emergency medical teams responded swiftly after the fan was seen in distress in the away end of the stadium. Despite their best efforts, the supporter could not be revived and was later confirmed dead.

Both Brighton & Hove Albion and Fulham have expressed their condolences. In a statement released after the match, Brighton said:
