Bandits issue 48-hour ultimatum to families of abducted worshippers, demand ₦500 million

Armed bandits holding the Cherubim and Seraphim Church worshippers abducted in Ejiba, Yagba West Local Government Area of Kogi State, have issued a two-day deadline for the victims’ families to produce ₦500 million, warning that “something else will happen” if the ransom is not paid family confirms.

The attackers invaded the church on 30 November 2025, disrupting a sunday service and abducting several worshippers, including pastor and a three-week-old baby and a four-month-old infant, according to a family source.

Since the incident, residents say the Kogi State Government has yet to make any clear public statement or provide updates on rescue operations, heightening anxiety in the community.

Families of the abducted victims, already struggling with fear and uncertainty, now face an escalating crisis as the ransom thr£at intensifies pressure on an already distressed region.
