Bandits Kill Forest Guard, Set Motorcycles Ablaze In Kwara Community

Ilorin, Kwara State– Suspected bandits have reportedly killed a forest guard identified as Samuel during a violent attack on Koro community in Ekiti Local Government Area of Kwara State.
Afrika Eyes gathered that the incident occurred on Sunday afternoon after forest guards received intelligence about a possible invasion by armed men believed to be bandits.
The operatives were said to have moved into the community area to pre-empt the attack when they were ambushed by the assailants.
During the encounter, Samuel was reportedly shot dead, while other operatives narrowly escaped.
Residents said the attackers, who were heavily armed, later set more than five motorcycles ablaze.
As of the time of filing this report, there has been no official statement from the Kwara State Police Command.
Earlier, Afrika Eyes reported that residents of Koro community in Ekiti Local Government Area of Kwara State were thrown into panic on Sunday afternoon following a deadly attack by terrorists suspected to be armed bandits.
According to information obtained by Afrika Eyes, the attack occurred in the afternoon hours of Sunday when heavily armed men invaded the community, shooting sporadically and forcing residents to flee their homes in fear.
