Bandits Abduct FCE Lecturer On Kabba-Okene Road Amid Rising Attacks In Kogi

Alecturer from the Federal College of Education (FCE), Okene, was kidnapped on Friday along the Kabba-Okene Road in Kogi State, raising fresh concerns over insecurity on the busy highway.

While soldiers of the Nigerian Army stationed in Kabba, swiftly responded to the incident and successfully rescued several victims, the lecturer was unfortunately taken away by the kidnappers.
The identity of the abducted lecturer has not yet been officially disclosed as of the time of this report, a platform, Egbe Mekun Parrot said.
The incident has further heightened fear among residents, students, and travelers who regularly use the Kabba–Okene Road, a route that has witnessed repeated security threats in recent times.
Community members and road users are once again calling on the Kogi State and Federal Governments to strengthen security presence along major highways to curb the rising cases of abduction and v!olent attacks across the state.
