AVERTING THE TRUNCATORS OF DESTINIES – PASTOR ISAAC OLUTIMEHIN
TEXT:
Luke 10:30 KJV.
“And Jesus answering said, A certain man went down from Jerusalem to Jericho, and fell among thieves, which stripped him of his raiment, and wounded him, and departed, leaving him half dead”.
MESSAGE
☆☆☆ We are all familiar with this story as told by our Lord Jesus Christ.
☆☆☆ Jesus was teaching on how to have compassion on others.
☆☆☆ Today, the Holy Spirit wants us to look at this story from another perspective.
☆☆☆ The man who was robbed and wounded, was on a business trip.
☆☆☆ Note that he was attacked on his way to Jericho.
☆☆☆ Beloved, Jericho was a commercial city where people came to transact business.
☆☆☆ The man couldn’t continue his business trip but ended up in the hospital.
☆☆☆ His journey to a possible success story, in business, was truncated.
☆☆☆ Beloved, life is also a business trip.
☆☆☆ Many people on this life trip have been robbed and dispossessed of their virtues.
☆☆☆ Some even have their life trip truncated on the way.
☆☆☆ Many have suffered delays and set backs.
☆☆☆ The man, in our main bible verse for today, never knew that those robbers were on his way.
☆☆☆ The robbers too were not targeting this man in particular.
☆☆☆ He was just a victim of coincidence and circumstance.
☆☆☆ Beloved, in the journey of life, many got struck by arrows not specifically meant for them.
☆☆☆ Some people just worked into dangers they never dreamt of.
☆☆☆ This is why the bible warns ????
“Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour” – 1 Peter 5:8.
STEPS TOWARDS AVERTING TRUNCATORS OF DESTINIES:
1. You must be on the Lord’s side.
☆☆☆ That your parents are children of God or that you are a member of a gospel church or being addressed as a man of God; does not qualify you as a child of God.
☆☆☆ That you pay your tithes and offerings regularly, that you have built many churches for God, you feed the poor; all these are good for the propagation of the gospel but the question is: Does God know you?
✓✓ Bible reading: John 1:12 John 3:16; Matthew 7:21-23.
2. Don’t be a willful captive.
☆☆☆ Today, many people consciously and unconsciously enter into captivity without knowing it.
☆☆☆ Anyone who seeks for solution to his problems, outside Christ, will surely end up being a willful captive.
☆☆☆ The devil is a master strategist, he can lure his captive into bondage and hold him down right there.
☆☆☆ Remember the story of Samson, Judges 14:1; 16:18-21.
3. Learn to be content
☆☆☆ Apostle Paul said ????
“Not that I speak in respect of want: for I have learned, in whatsoever state I am, therewith to be content”.
[12] “I know both how to be abased, and I know how to abound: every where and in all things I am instructed both to be full and to be hungry, both to abound and to suffer need” – Philippians 4:11-12.
☆☆☆ Those who tend to be faster than God, end up truncating their own destinies.
☆☆☆ The devil and his agents, who are the truncators of destinies, usually use the earnest desires of his would be victims to get them.
☆☆☆ If the devil knows that you are a lover of money, he can easily use money to truncate your destiny.
✓✓ Remember Judas in Matthew 26:14-16; 27:3-5 and Gehazi in 2 Kings 5:20-27.
4. Let God be your source.
☆☆☆ The easiest and best way to escape being disappointed in life, is never to expect too much from anyone.
☆☆☆ Let it sink into your subconscious mind that no man can receive anything without the approval of God. Once the heaven approves, the earth releases.
☆☆☆ A particular bible verse has really helped me in this regard and that is ????
John 3:27:
“John answered and said, A man can receive nothing, except it be given him from heaven”.
☆☆☆ Once you see God as your provider and source, it will be difficult for the truncators to take advantage of you.
5. Don’t let down your guards:
☆☆☆ Beloved, many believers today relax after attaining victory. They have forgotten that the devil won’t attack you when you are ready for him.
☆☆☆ The reason the bible encourages us to pray without ceasing, 1 Thessalonians 5:17, is to prepare us for battle at all times.
✓✓ When you read 1 Samuel 30, the enemies raided the city of David when the latter was at war with other enemies. They captured his wives, burnt the city and took away his properties. Read 1 Samuel 30:1-3.
✓✓ The bible recorded that when David came upon them, they were relaxed and making merry. 1 Samuel 30:16-20.
PRAYERS
1. Oh God my father, please deliver me from the truncators of my destiny in Jesus name.
2. Oh God my father, don’t allow me to ignorantly submit myself to the devil as a willful captive in Jesus name.
3. Father, step me out of every unnecessary delay occasioned by the truncators of destinies in Jesus name.
4. Devil, I am not your candidate, lose your hold over my life and destiny in Jesus name.
5. Every arrow of delay, fired into my life, back to sender in Jesus name.
6. I refuse to partner with those whose lives are already lying at the graveyard of failure.
7. Polluters and hijackers of destinies will not gain access into the treasury of my life in Jesus name.
8. I receive divine speed to actualize the plan and purpose of God for my life.
9. I will not be a contender at the bottom ladder of failure in Jesus name.
10. Every arrow of almost there, arrow of failure at the peak of success, arrow of being hated without any just course; back fire now in Jesus name.
PROPHETIC DECLARATIONS
For somebody out there, I decree, every scepter of the wicked stretched against your destiny shall be broken today in Jesus name.
✓✓ It is safe to assume, from our main bible story, that the wounded man still continued his business trip after he got well. However, he had been delayed and his business suffered a set back.
I decree and declare into the life of somebody today, every spiritual delay, as you journey through life, is over now in Jesus name.
I decree, every set back you have experienced in your life trip shall result in an accelerated progress in Jesus mighty name.
I decree, declare and prophesy, every demonic spiritual police officer standing on your way to success and breakthrough shall be arrested by the hosts of heaven in Jesus name.
Those whose life trip has suffered delay, I prophesy, accelerated success is yours from today in Jesus mighty name.
To every anti-success arrow targeting your breakthrough, I decree, backfire now in Jesus mighty name.
You will not become a victim of evil circumstance.
I decree, you will not replace others in the graveyard of failure.
For somebody this day, I decree, the arrow of “almost there” sent into your life, has lost its powers over you in Jesus name.
Your journey through life shall neither suffer delay nor be truncated.
You will reach your goal in Jesus mighty name.
