AVERTING THE TRUNCATOR OF GLORY – Pastor Isaac Olutimehin
TEXT
2 Samuel 13:3 KJV.
“But Amnon had a friend, whose name was Jonadab, the son of Shimeah David’s brother: and Jonadab was a very subtle man”.
☆☆☆ Beloved, who is your friend or partner in life? Who is that fellow you trust so much and freely shares your secret with?
☆☆☆ Jonadab was a friend to Amnon, the son of David. Both of them were cousins. So they were very close family friends.
☆☆☆ The bible described Jonadab as a subtle man. I checked the English dictionary and here is the definition of subtle that I got 👇
☆☆☆ Hard to grasp; not obvious or easily understood.
☆☆☆ In other words, Jonadab was not a straight forward person.
☆☆☆ This Jonadab was the same man who cut short the life of Amnon, through an evil counsel.
☆☆☆ When Amnon was lusting after his own sister, Tamar, both of them were children of David; Jonadab was he who encouraged Amnon and thought him how to lure Tamar into having sexual affairs together. Read 2 Samuel 13:1-6; 22-29.
☆☆☆ When Amnon now died, Jonadab was also the same fellow who mockingly reported his death to David, his father.
“And Jonadab, the son of Shimeah David’s brother, answered and said, Let not my lord suppose that they have slain all the young men the king’s sons; for Amnon only is dead: for by the appointment of Absalom this hath been determined from the day that he forced his sister Tamar” – 2 Samuel 13:32.
☆☆☆ “Only Amnon died”, so Amnon was no longer important? Can you imagine this kind of statement coming from Jonadab, who claimed to be a friend of Amnon!!
☆☆☆ Beloved, there are certain people, when they partner with somebody in life, that fellow is in trouble.
☆☆☆ They partner with people to destroy and truncate their destinies.
☆☆☆ They can easily bring down glorious and shinning stars.
☆☆☆ They can suddenly cut short someone’s life journey, who is already on the pathway of success.
☆☆☆ They can truncate glorious destinies. If you ignorantly partner with such people, breakthrough will be far from you.
☆☆☆ In Yoruba language, they are known as Abanirindaeruogonu. Literarily translated, it means somebody who can partner or walk with you in life only to pull down your loads of glory.
☆☆☆ However, there are still some very few people out there, if you partner with them, you will surely succeed.
☆☆☆ If you have them as partners in business, as drivers or even as house maids; things will suddenly begin to turn around for your good.
☆☆☆ That was exactly the experience of Potiphar when Joseph came into his house as a house keeper.
“And the Lord was with Joseph, and he was a prosperous man; and he was in the house of his master the Egyptian”.
[3] “And his master saw that the Lord was with him, and that the Lord made all that he did to prosper in his hand” – Genesis 39:2-3.
PRAYERS
1. Father, don’t allow my pathway to cross that of wasters of glory in Jesus name.
2. Oh you truncator of glorious destiny, my life is not your bus stop, keep moving.
3. Every assigned waster of potentials and fortunes, I have zero tolerance for you, you are cursed with a curse; perish now in Jesus name.
4. In business, please Lord; connect me with a Joseph whose partnership shall lead me to success.
5. Every assigned Jonadab, parading as helpers, fire of God; consume them now.
If you are trusting God for a life partner, please pray like this
6. Father, please guide my choice in life, let your will become my desire in Jesus name.
7. Oh God my father, please open my eyes clearly to see the path you have fashioned out for me to walk through in life.
8. Separate me Lord from any relationship that can cage my glory and star.
9. Father, don’t allow greed to mortgage my future.
10. Father, please, don’t allow me to partner with anyone who can separate me from you.
PROPHETIC DECLARATIONS
I pray for you today, I decree, your pathway shall not cross that of destroyers of glorious destines in Jesus name.
You shall not partner with anyone who will cause you to experience a reversal of fortune in Jesus name.
In marriage, I decree, you will not partner with someone who will cut your life short in Jesus name.
Your shinning star shall not be brought down at the peak of success in Jesus name.
In the name of Jesus, I decree, those whose lives are already ruined shall not pollute yours in Jesus name.
May the Lord connect you with partners like Joseph and Jonathan.
For those trusting God for life partners, I decree, only the will of God shall be your choice.
You will never marry wrongly in Jesus name.
The enemy will not dislodge your load of fortunes in Jesus name.
Finally, I decree, you will not ignorantly journey with somebody who will lead you away from the path of righteousness in Jesus mighty name.
