Asherkine, the Nigerian content creator, has broken his silence following widespread backlash over his recent video, in which he flew a woman he met at a canteen in Ogun state to Cape Town, South Africa.

The controversy began after Asherkine, known for his philanthropic content, posted a video of himself meeting a young lady identified as Chiamaka Clare, who claimed to work at a local canteen.

The video showed him inviting her for a post-Valentine’s Day date in Lagos, where he treated her to a shopping spree, gifts, and dinner.
