Appeal Court Sitting in Ibadan, Gives Controversial Advice to Wike And Makinde Over PDP crisis

Court of Appeal sitting in Ibadan has advised the Wike led PDP faction and governor Seyi Makinde faction of the PDP to consider internal mechanism to resolving their long-standing crisis, stating that the PDP crisis is a family dispute that has gone sour.

The presiding judge,
Justice Biobele Georgewill offered the advice to the warring factions of PDP in the hearing of the appeal from the conflicting Federal High Court judgement and Oyo State High Court judgment on the PDP Ibadan convention which produced Turaki led national leadership of the party.

This is as the lawyer to the appellant, Mr Fredrick Ladapo told the appeal court about his decision to withdraw his appeal.

Speaking on the case, justice Biobele Georgewill described it as an internal crisis that has escalated, stating that the withdrawal of the appeal grants the factions the opportunity to internally resolve the crisis out of court.

The judge also directed the two factions to liaise with their lawyers in view of coming up with terms of agreement towards resolving the conflict in the party.

Justice Biobele Georgewill stated that when the two factions present their agreed terms to the court, it will be adopted as the court’s judgement.
