APC lists condition to accept another PDP Governor into party
The opposition APC in Zamfara has asserted that it can only open its doors to the incumbent governor of the State, Dauda Lawan on condition of releasing the over 200 members of the Party he is detaining with no reason but just because they are from the opposition.
It was gathered that of recent, the governor has made several attempts to join the APC, but could not succeed due to his inability to liaise with the leaders of the Party in the State.
At a press briefing by the publicity secretary of the APC in the State, Yusuf Idris Gusau, stated that Dauda, who is currently calling on the President to remove the Minister of state for defence, Bello Matawallen Maradun, is only out to deceive the people even as it alleged that his call was only to cover his inability to address the current problem the people of the State are faced with.
“if you look at the whole issue, the governor has discovered by himself that he failed in the whole governance, that is why he is resorting to that, just to divert the attention of the people from knowing what transpires as far as the issue of insecurity is concerned, “Idris stated.
The publicity Secretary also explained that for over two years of the present administration under the PDP in the State, and despite the promise made by Dauda of addressing insecurity under two to three weeks after taking over the mantle of the leadership of the State, yet there is nothing to write home about.
Said he, “but we all knew how Matawallen tried during his reign to bring the situation down, and now as minister of State for defence, the whole world is living witness on how he did his best to rescue the students of Maga in Kebbi State on the order of Mr President which he successfully accomplished. “
Speaking further, Yusuf stated that the governor, instead of concentrating on his responsibility which he promised the people during his electioneering campaign, but he only went ahead to destroy the political and economic future of the State by bringing in his friends and other members of his family into the government of the State at the expense of the bona-fide indigenes adding that, “it is a known fact, no longer hidden that PDP-led government in our State has not done anything tangible worthy of commendation, and therefore all the calls being made by their leaders should be ignored, it only succeeded in betraying its members many of who are now decamping to the opposition APC.
