Afe Babalola, Sanwo-Olu, Soludo, Tunji-Ojo, others for London Award

Anambra State Governor Charles Soludo, Interior Minister Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo, and Afe Babalola University, Ado-Ekiti (ABUAD) founder Aare Afe Babalola (SAN) are among those listed for recognition at this year’s edition of the Face of Africa Leadership Award for Governance and Public Service Excellence.

The recognition for several distinguished Nigerians is billed for April 2 in London, organisers of the award, Triangle International Magazine, said through its publisher, Mr. Femi Salako, in a statement.

Salako explained that the awardees’ selection followed a rigorous review and scrutiny of their track records in their chosen fields of endeavour.

Others on the list are: Youth Development Minister Ayodele Olawande; Lagos State Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu; his Imo and Zamfara counterparts – Hope Uzodimma (Imo) and Dauda Lawal (Zamfara); Sahara Group Managing Director Kola Adesina; public sector expert, Lekan Ajisafe, and insurance professional/philanthropist Olori Aderonke Ademiluyi-Ogunwusi.

Other awardees are: Rural Electrification Agency (REA) Executive Director (Technical Services) Umar Abdullahi Umar; Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC) Managing Director/Chief Executive Officer Samuel Ogbuku, and House of Representatives member, Gboyega Nasir Isiaka.

According to the statement, the fourth edition of the awards will feature a special lecture themed: “Harnessing the Role of Nigerians in the Diaspora for National Development – Collaboration, Investment, Knowledge Transfer and Civic Engagement.”

The 2026 edition coincides with the 10th anniversary of magazine.
