Adelegbe Pushes Boundaries as Ose State Creation with Owo as Capital Bill Advances in National Assembly”
A BILL FOR THE CREATION OF OSE STATE WITH OWO AS CAPITAL ENTERS ITS SECOND READING AMONG TWO OTHER FRESH DEVELOPMENTAL BILLS SPONSORED BY OTUNBA TIMEHIN ADELEGBE.
The lawmaker representing Owo/Ose Federal Constituency in the National Assembly, Otunba Dr. Timehin Adelegbe has sponsored the following fresh bills in the National Assembly in his strong determination and commitment towards the enhancement of the Owo/Ose Federal Constituency socio-economic development.
1. Federal Universities of Technology Act ( Amendment) Bill 2025 ( HB 2620)
2. Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria ( Sixth Alteration ) Bill, 2025 ( HB 2626)
3. Federal College of Innovation and Entrepreneurship Owo ( Establishment) Bill, 2025 ( HB 2627)
The first Bill seeks to upgrade the Rufus Giwa Polytechnic, Owo to a Federal University.
The second Bill seeks to alter the constitution of Nigeria 1999, Cap C23, Laws of the Federation of Nigeria, 2004 to create “Ose State” from the present Ondo State with its Capital City in Owo town. This is in fulfilment of the resolution taken at the Owo/Ose Stakeholders meeting held at the instance of the Olowo of Owo, His Imperial Majesty, Oba Ajibade Gbadegesin Ogunoye III at the Mapo Hall, Owo.
The third bill seeks to upgrade the Government Technical College, Owo and to establish a Federal College of Innovation and Entrepreneurship Development to provide full time courses, teaching instructions and training in Entrepreneurship development.
It would be recalled that Otunba Dr. Timehin Adelegbe, a high-ranking parliamentarian has left no stone unturned since his inception of office in his strong determination to ensure the delivery of his commitments to his constituents with the provision of quality, responsive and impactful representation, coupled with the monumental and unprecedented achievements that are traceable to him in every nook and cranny of Owo and Ose LGAs.
