Actress Aunty Ajara seeks help as she battles for life in hospital
Ajara Lasisi, the Nigerian actress known for her roles in Yoruba cinema, has been hospitalised as she battles a serious, undisclosed illness.
The veteran actress, affectionately known as ‘Aunty Ajara’ to fans and colleagues, is reportedly in a critical state.
The news came to light through a heartfelt public appeal made by fellow actress Ronke Oshodi-Oke on social media.
In an Instagram post, she revealed that Aunty Ajara’s health is deteriorating rapidly despite exhaustive medical efforts and significant financial expenditure on her treatment.

Ronke also stressed the urgency of the moment, stating that continued financial assistance is vital to sustain her care.
“Please, we need help. Ajara’s health condition has become more critical despite all the efforts so far. So much has already been spent on her treatment, with generous support from kind-hearted celebrities, actors, and individuals – yet the situation is getting worse,” she wrote.
“At this point, we urgently need more financial assistance to keep her fighting. Any amount, any support, any share can make a difference. Please help us save a life.

Ajara Lasisi is widely celebrated for her compelling portrayals, often in maternal and terrestrial-themed roles. Her filmography includes popular titles such as ‘Gingerrr’, ‘Queen Lateefah’, and ‘Isiti’.
Last year, Aunty Ajara revealed she once had a baby who tragically passed on.
