Make It WoW Fiesta Prioritizes Accessibility, Inclusion, and CPR Training for Nigerian Kids
The 6th Annual WoW Children’s Day Fiesta, held on May 27, 2025, was a landmark in inclusive event programming in Nigeria.
With 1,758 children, including children with disabilities and chronic illnesses in attendance, the event promoted full participation in activities designed to accommodate all abilities. Importantly, the entire event was completely free for all children and their families.
At the helm of this impactful celebration was Owolabi Emmanuel Tosin, Founder of Make It WoW Limited and Make It WoW Humanitarian Foundation. A respected inclusion advocate in Africa, Owolabi is passionate about dismantling barriers and building platforms where every child can thrive.
This year’s theme, “Full Inclusion,” emphasized building accessible and equitable spaces. A special ball pit zone was created for children who couldn’t walk or play actively.
With caregivers on-site, mobility-enhanced rides and visual aids ensured that children of all capacities could enjoy the event.
Partnering with Emergency Response Africa, the Fiesta introduced basic CPR training for children, giving them the confidence to respond to emergencies.
This groundbreaking initiative made safety education a priority—especially for families often excluded from such knowledge.
The Down Syndrome Foundation Nigeria added color to the day with a heartwarming performance. The event also featured exhibitions on nutrition, play-based therapy demos, and awareness materials for parents on developmental delays and accessible education.
