“There’s no prayer point abroad” — Lady living abroad sparks reactions
A Nigerian lady living abroad has sparked reactions on social media after claiming that people residing outside Nigeria have fewer prayer concerns because many of their basic needs are already taken care of.
In a viral video circulating on X, she argued that the primary prayer point for many people living abroad is simply to remain alive and continue enjoying life.
According to her, many of the daily challenges that often drive people to constant prayer in Nigeria are less common in many developed countries.
“There’s no prayer point abroad, the only prayer point here is, ‘God keep me alive to enjoy’.”
She further stated:
“Abroad people, they don’t have prayer point. Wetin dey want pray for again? God has done it.”
Her comments have generated mixed reactions online, with some social media users agreeing that access to basic amenities reduces certain everyday worries, while others argued that people living abroad face their own unique challenges and still have reasons to pray.
