Aggrieved political ally of governor Siminalayi Fubara who served as one of the governor’s LGA chairmen ousted by the supreme, has accused governor Fubara of misleading his supporters and the public about his political future.

The former LGA chairman who doesn’t want his name mentioned in this article, claims that governor Siminalayi Fubara lied that he has withdrawn from the APC Rivers state guber contest. According to him, while governor Fubara will not participate in the APC’s governorship primary election, it’s because he was disqualified by the screening committee.

He accuses the governor of lying to the public as well as to his ardent supporters whom he said deserved to be carried along.

The governor lied, he did not withdraw because he had been disqualified by the committee. He kept this to himself while assuring us that all is in his control”, he stated.

The former LGA chairman also expressed his disappointment over the manner the governor handled his political future, claiming that he made his supporters stickout their necks for him, went into enmity with the governor’s political enemies while speciously believing that they had the trust of the governor. According to him, the governor failed to carry those “taking bullet’ for him along, kept them in dark while allowing them risk their political future.

While we were taking bullet for him, he did not find us worthy of being carried along. He kept us is dark, made us fight those we were not supposed fight, for his sake. This is absurd”.
