Ex-Rivers commissioner, Gogo Jaja who accompanied Fubara to his screening, shares what transpired
Dr. Tamunosisi Gogo Jaja, former Rivers state commissioner of education who accompanied governor Siminalayi Fubara to his screening by the All Progressive Congress (APC) screening committee for incumbent governors, has revealed what transpired during the screening.
Governor Sim Fubara was scheduled for screening by the committee on the 9th of May but failed to appear before the committee; his absence was later explained by the national chairman of the APC, professor Nentawe Yilwatda who revealed that the governor’s absence was due to urgent administrative issue that needed his attention. He also disclosed that the governor alongside with others who failed to appear before the screening committee, will be screened today.
Hence, governor Siminalayi Fubara accompanied by Dr. Tamunosisi Gogo Jaja was reportedly screened; however, the duration of the screening triggered reactions on Nigeria social media community. Reports have it that the governor barely lasted up to five minutes before the committee. His “no comment” remark to the inquisitive journalists further raised suspicion about the governor’s political future as many insinuated that the governor was disqualified by the screening committee because he barely spent five minutes before them as well as his countenance.
