Troops rescue kidnapped woman, arrest suspects in Benue operations

Troops of Operation Whirl Stroke have rescued a kidnapped woman and arrested two suspects during intelligence-led operations in Benue State.

Acting on credible intelligence, troops deployed to Mbapa and Mbabuande communities in Gwer West Local Government Area, where they uncovered an abandoned criminal hideout. Further operations across River Akpako led to the arrest of two suspects, now in custody.

In a separate operation, troops in collaboration with the Benue State Civil Protection Guard responded to a kidnapping incident in Tse-Ubena village, Katsina-Ala Local Government Area, rescuing a 28-year-old woman, identified as Mrs Member Ityavber.

Force Commander of Operation Whirl Stroke, Moses Gara, commended the troops for their swift response and professionalism.
