Tension as popular monarch Survives Attack

A shocking incident has been reported in Ogbagi community as His Royal Majesty, Oba Victor Olasehinde Adetona, was allegedly attacked this evening by a young man identified as Tope Adelani from Aala quarters.

According to sources, the suspect had earlier approached the monarch at the palace seeking employment as a driver.

Oba Adetona reportedly informed him that there was no current vacancy but assured him that he would be contacted when an opportunity becomes available.

It was gathered that shortly after this interaction, the monarch left the palace for his farm while the young man remained within the palace premises.

Upon the monarch’s return, the suspect allegedly trailed him into the palace, seized his two mobile phones, and switched them off—apparently to prevent him from calling for help.

The situation escalated when the suspect reportedly launched an attack on the monarch.

During the struggle, Oba Adetona sustained injuries and is currently receiving treatment from medical personnel as of the time of filing this report.

A knife was reportedly recovered from the suspect following the incident, raising further concerns about the intent and severity of the attack.

The suspect has since been apprehended and handed over to law enforcement authorities for further investigation.
