3 THINGS STUDENTS JOKE WITH THAT REDUCE THEIR GRADES.

3 THINGS STUDENTS JOKE WITH THAT REDUCE THEIR GRADES.

As a final year student in the university, I’ve come to realize that, the reason why many students end up with low grades despite the fact that they’re reading, is because they joke with some certain things that boost students result.

If you’re a student, here are three things you should take seriously in school because they contribute greatly to your overall grades.

1. Attendance.

Every attendance in the university is compulsory, don’t joke with it.

Most times, lecturers look into attendance to add marks or scores to students so as to pass them if they didn’t score up to the pass mark in exams.

There was a particular course most persons failed in my department just because their names were not in attendance list.

Those that had their names written in attendance, got 3 marks added to their scores and that was how they passed that course.

You see that 3 marks from attendance?

It can move your grade from C to B.

Not writing attendance in class will affect your CGPA as a student.

Always make sure you write your name in every attendance list in class.

2. Assignments and Test.

Many students think, lecturers don’t mark assignments in the university because of the large population of students in the departments.

Some of them will say “How will the lecturer read all these answers and mark all these scripts?”

The truth is that; Lecturers don’t always have time to read what you wrote word for word.

But they’re taking notes of the names of students that did their assignment.

Assignment and test are part of your CA.

In most universities, your CA is 30% of your course grade.

Which means, if you don’t do assignments and test, you have automatically lost or missed 30 marks.

And as you know, exam is not always guarantee…. so what If you don’t do well in your exam?

Your CA will then boost your grade.

Don’t joke with submission of assignments and tests.

3. Skipping Classes Regularly.

There are so many things lecturers will say in class that won’t be in your textbooks or study materials.

Sometimes, lecturers will give areas to where questions will come out from in exam during lectures.

Some of them will say ” Read about this, I’ll set question from there in exam”.

When you are not present in class, you will miss out on such valuable informations.

And that’s why instead of you to focus on areas the lecturers will set questions from, you read randomly and most things you read don’t come out in exam.

If you want to do well academically, avoid skipping classes regularly.
