As Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa, the Governor of Ondo state marks one year in office, commendations have continued to pour in from stakeholders and leaders across Ondo State, acknowledging what many describe as a year of focused, purposeful, and people centered governance.
Dr. Jide Martins Adewinle, Federal Commissioner at the South West Development Commission, has congratulated the governor on the milestone, applauding his steady leadership and commitment to advancing development across the state.
According to Dr. Adewinle, the past year has been marked by stability in governance, institutional strengthening, and a renewed sense of direction in public administration.

In the area of infrastructure, the administration has sustained road rehabilitation and construction projects across various communities in the whole eighteen local government areas of the state, improving connectivity and boosting economic activities. The education sector has witnessed renewed attention through interventions aimed at improving learning environments, supporting teachers, and expanding access to quality education. In the health sector, investments in primary healthcare centres, medical equipment, and service delivery have strengthened healthcare access, particularly at the grassroots level.
Economic development initiatives, especially in agriculture, have been instrumental in empowering farmers and stimulating food production. Support programmes, input distribution, and efforts to encourage agro based investments reflect a deliberate policy direction aimed at strengthening the state’s economy.
Measures to improve the ease of doing business have also positioned Ondo State as an emerging destination for investment.
