As Ondo State marks its golden jubilee, Hon. Adetarami Olowolafe Mighty, Special Assistant to the Governor on Mobilization, has joined millions of citizens at home and in the diaspora in celebrating the state’s 50th anniversary.
In a goodwill message released in Akure, the state capital, Olowolafe described Ondo at 50 as a proud testament to the resilience, strength, and unity of its people. He said the milestone reflects five decades of steady progress built on sacrifice, vision, and a shared commitment to development.
He paid glowing tribute to the founding fathers of Ondo State, commending their foresight, courage, and dedication in laying a strong foundation for the generations that followed.
According to him, the achievements being celebrated today are deeply rooted in the sacrifices and purposeful leadership of those early pioneers who worked tirelessly to shape the identity and direction of the state.
Olowolafe emphasized that honouring the founding fathers goes beyond remembering history it serves as inspiration for present and future leaders to uphold the values of unity, service, and people centered governance.
He also applauded Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa for what he described as a focused, inclusive, and development driven leadership style. He noted that continuity in governance and strategic mobilization of citizens remain key to sustaining progress as Ondo State enters a new phase of growth.
Expressing optimism about the future, Olowolafe said the state is well positioned for greater strides in infrastructure, economic advancement, youth empowerment, and social development under purposeful leadership and active citizen participation.
Reflecting on the significance of the golden jubilee, he called on the people of Ondo State to remain united and committed to building a stronger and more prosperous future. He stressed that sustainable development requires collaboration between government, communities, and the private sector.
According to him, while fifty years is a remarkable milestone, it also serves as a reminder that the work of building a greater Ondo is ongoing. He urged youths, stakeholders, and residents to take active roles in supporting policies and initiatives that will move the state forward.
