15m bribe to impêach Fubara, youth leader exposes Allêged plot to buy rivers lawmakers, loyalty

According To Our Reporter, National President of the South-South Youth Initiative, Imeabe Oscar, has alleged that the FCT Minister promised ₦15 billion as constituency funds to loyal members of the Rivers State House of Assembly amid the impeachment move against Governor Siminalayi Fubara.

Speaking on News Central TV, Oscar said the money was meant to secure lawmakers’ loyalty and pressure the executive into approving questionable financial arrangements.

He linked the crisis to the lingering power struggle between Fubara and former governor Nyesom Wike, warning that governance has suffered as politics overtakes development.

Oscar said abandoned projects, job losses and public frustration are growing, urging dialogue over confrontation.

He called for urgent national intervention, stressing that Rivers’ stability is vital to the South-South and Nigeria at large.
