AFCON 2025: CAF Names Somali Official For Super Eagles vs Algeria

The Confederation of African, CAF, has appointed Somali referee Omar Artan for the quarter-final fixture between the Super Eagles and Algeria.

Artan is one of the referees selected for the 2026 FIFA World Cup.

He is widely regarded as one of the most respected referees in Africa.

The Super Eagles and Algeria will clash at the Stade de Marrakech on Saturday.

It will be a repeat of the AFCON 2019 semi-final between both teams which Algeria won 2-1.

The game will kick-off at 5pm Nigerian time.
