Mob Sets Vehicle Ablaze After Motorcyclist Is Killed by Alleged Drunk Driver

Tens!on flared in Modakeke on Saturday night after an alleged drunk driver fatally hit a motorcyclist, leading to a v!olent response from residents.

Eyewitnesses said an enraged crowd set the driver’s Lexus RX 350 on fire and attempted to lynch him before officers from the Modakeke Divisional Police Headquarters intervened.

The police arrived promptly at the scene, rescued the driver from the mob, and took him into custody.

The motorcyclist was confirmed dead at the scene.
