Madagascar’s President Flees as Gen Z Protesters Topple Government

Madagascar’s president has reportedly fled the country amid massive Gen Z–led protests calling for transparency and an end to corruption.

Opposition leaders confirmed the move, marking the second government collapse driven by youth uprisings in recent weeks.

Protesters flooded the streets of Antananarivo, demanding change, while soldiers refused to open fire, declaring: “They are our brothers and sisters.”
