OPEN LETTER TO SEYI TINUBU ON HIS 40TH BIRTHDAY AND AN APPEAL FOR GIRL CHILD “ADAMMA”, BY SOUTHERN IGBO YOUTH ALLIANCE
As Nigeria joins in celebrating the 40th birthday of Mr. Seyi Tinubu a young leader and philanthropist whose influence continues to inspire youth across the nation, the Southern Igbo Youth Alliance (NYA Southeast) seizes the moment to not only extend heartfelt felicitations but also to spotlight a matter of national conscience.
In this open letter released to our Heritage Reporter online, the National Vice Chairman of NYA Southeast, Comrade Lawrence Uchechukwu Ibeh, conveys warm birthday wishes to Mr. Tinubu while drawing attention to the plight of Adamma, a physically challenged young girl from Rivers State, whose tragic circumstances underscore the urgency of renewed advocacy for the rights and welfare of the Nigerian girl child.
The letter, written in the spirit of the International Day of the Girl Child (October 11) and its octave of reflection, appeals to Mr. Tinubu and the Noella Foundation to extend compassionate intervention in line with their ongoing humanitarian and empowerment initiatives.

Dear Seyi Tinubu,
Happy 40th Birthday! On behalf of the Southern Igbo Youth Alliance (A.K.A. NYA SOUTHEAST), I extend our sincere congratulations to you as you celebrate this important milestone. Your father, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, in his poignant letter dated October 12, 2025, commended you as a man of focus, courage, and humility—a son who has converted challenges into successes and devoted his life to building, serving, and uplifting others through endeavors like Loatsad Promomedia and the Noella Foundation. As you embark on this new era of wisdom and leadership, we join your family and the nation in honoring your contributions and the profound legacy of compassion you represent.
As we mark the International Day of the Girl Child, observed globally on October 11, 2025, and now within its octave—a period of reflection and renewed commitment to girls’ rights—I am inspired to advocate for the vulnerable among us. In my role as National Vice Chairman of NYA SOUTHEAST, an organization focused on youth empowerment and advocacy in the southern regions, I champion the protection and upliftment of our girls, addressing barriers such as gender inequality, disability, and poverty. It is with this mission in mind that I draw your attention to the distressing circumstances of a young girl named Adamma from Onyigbo, Rivers State. Adamma, who is crippled, has been impregnated by an unknown individual, leaving her and her widowed mother in extreme poverty and harsh living conditions. This case exemplifies the critical issues the International Day of the Girl Child seeks to combat, and during this octave, it calls for urgent action to restore dignity and opportunity.
Guided by your father’s words about your heart that strives to serve and elevate, and by the Noella Foundation’s essential efforts in education, youth empowerment, and maternal and child welfare, I respectfully urge you to intervene in Adamma’s situation. The foundation’s initiatives, designed to support at-risk families, could adopt Adamma and her mother, offering them medical assistance, educational resources, and sustainable aid to profoundly improve their lives. This gesture would embody the spirit of national solidarity and compassion, extending the octave’s message of empowerment to those who need it most.
As you rejoice in your 40th birthday, enveloped in the pride of your family and the esteem of many, I pray that God bestows upon you enduring wisdom, health, and the resolve to foster meaningful change. NYA SOUTHEAST is prepared to partner with the Noella Foundation on such efforts, building a Nigeria where every girl child can overcome adversity and succeed.
